SIRDICKS body armour products are manufactured and tested in conformance with NIJ (National Institute of Justice) standards. Recognition and acceptance of the NIJ standard is worldwide, making it the performance benchmark for body armour protection.

All garments are manufactured to the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) level of quality.
Ballistic materials are rigorously tested at our Armscor approved in-house ballistic testing range.
Independent or in-house compliance certificates are issued with each consignment for conformance to quality standards.
All bulletproof vests have a unique serial number for traceability back to batches produced.

The science behind bulletproof vests is based on the innovative synthetic materials working with the human body to slow down the speed of the bullet to trap it in the layered materials.
Rigorous testing is performed in a controlled & certified environment to simulate the reaction of the human body in relation to the integrity of the ballistic material.
All ballistic materials must be able to prevent excessive trauma from the hammer like blow of a bullet at impact point as well as stop the bullet from penetrating all layers.
